Suzuki Looks to Selling Corporate Vehicles

The great minds at Suzuki are always thinking of new ways to get people behind the wheel of models like the Suzuki Kizashi and Suzuki Grand Vitara, in the greater Roanoke area and beyond. The Japanese automaker knows that these vehicles can sit four full-grown adults quite comfortably, and that they're fuel economy makes them the ideal choice to take on longer trips. That said, the next big move for Suzuki is to enter the realm of selling company cars, something that we here at Hart Suzuki find to be very interesting.
We say this because it is actually the first time ever that Suzuki has attempted to enter the corporate arena. Will Suzuki be able to contend with other automakers in this segment? Let us know what you think of the move by leaving a comment below.
Personally, we think that Suzuki will fare quite well. Suzuki sales and marketing director Dale Wyatt says "Our market share overall is static at about 1%, and 92% of our sales have been retail, but we're seeing the total UK market move more to fleet. Where historically it's been a 50:50 split between fleet and retail, it has moved to 60% fleet? There are opportunities for us in the government and health sectors."
When Suzuki starts selling company cars, they hope to sell between 3,000 to 4,000 models. Reaching these numbers would put the Japanese automaker's total number of projected vehicles sales up to 20,000 for the year if they're able to, meaning that this new segment could account for as much as 20 percent of new sales.
