Suzuki Reveals EcoCharge Concept

Today marks a special occasion for Suzuki, as the Japanese auto maker reveals their Suzuki Kizashi Ecocharge at the New York Auto Show. It's their first gas-electric hybrid, probably the first of many.
Power for Ecocharge comes from a 144 horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, matched to a belt-driven 15 kWh (aka: 20 horsepower) electric motor-generator. This helps boost torque to get the car going while using less fuel. The 15-hp electric motor is stored in a 115-volt air-cooled lithium-ion battery.
